We are delighted that lululemon Guildford store will be partnering with Wey Ahead and providing prizes for some very lucky participants.

This is the first time that aat-events and lululemon Guildford have worked together, but already we can tell that this is just the start of what will be a great relationship because we share common goals and values. Like us, the Guildford store team are committed to encouraging their local community to engage in regular physical activity – which they achieve by providing a free run club from their store on Tuesday’s at 7pm and free yoga classes on Sunday at 9:45 (everyone is welcome to attend). Together, we are hosting a free social run on Tuesday 26 March to bring our communities together and celebrate the partnership we have established with Wey Ahead.

Wey Ahead 2019 is a 5km, 15km, 25km or 32km walk or run alongside the Basingstoke Canal and River Wey in support of local mental health charities. The rural course features fantastic scenery along the river and canal which can be enjoyed as a pleasant summer afternoon walk or as a part of training for an Ultra Run. We created Wey Ahead so we could actively support local people with all kinds of mental health issues (and have fun at the same time of course). lululemon Guildford actively promotes the importance of wellbeing, so we believe that they are an excellent fit as the event’s official Prize Partner. Probably the most laid back of all the events we deliver, Wey Ahead is all about doing things your way, in your time, to raise awareness and funds for local mental health charities. With finish lines in Byfleet, Send, Guildford and Godalming, this event truly caters for every level of athlete. Everyone is welcome to walk or run 5km, 15km, 25km or 32km along the River Wey to enjoy the truly spectacular scenery; you even get to choose your own start time (8-9am). This event is about celebrating participation, so everyone has the chance to win one of the prizes – not just the winners.

The event supports a coalition of local charities – CornerHouseStatus Employment, and Oakleaf – to raise awareness and funds for a variety of mental health issues.
