Registration

Register online using our secure registration platform to secure your space. 

Travel

Guildford Train Station is a 10-minute walk from the Event Village at the top of Guildford High Street. Regular services run to/from London, Portsmouth and other major train stations. 

Parking

There are ample parking facilities within Guildford Town Centre within a 10 min walk of the start line which can be viewed on Parkopedia. Charges may apply. 

What to wear

Trainers: 
This is a road-race therefore road running shoes are recommended. You can purchase them from Fitstuff preferably no later than 4 weeks before the event to give your feet a chance to adjust. For the best results take advantage of their free and professional shoe-fitting service. We specifically recommend the Asics Metaride or the Asics Kayano 26 models as great running shoes. 

Socks:
For maximum comfort - and to avoid getting blisters - ensure you wear a proper pair of running socks. aat-events recommend Hilly Socks - click HERE to read more about them. You can purchase your Hilly Socks from Fitstuff.

Earphones:
You must be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear marshalls at all times. Therefore the only recommended earphones are Aftershockz bone-conducting earphones - the only earphones to be approved by United Kingdom Athletics. Click HERE for aat-events earphone policy.  You can purchase these from Fitstuff. Be sure to make the most of their try before you buy scheme!

Extra Kit:
In our attempts to reduce one-use plastics we have a couple of suggestions. Firstly, to wear clothing with pockets or a run-belt to carry a cup, buy the aat cup HERE. Or you can support yourself with a water pack. Both of these can be purchased HERE.

Course

Starting from the cobbled high street in Guildford town centre, participants will follow a professionally marked and measured route out through Burpham, Merrow and towards Clandon. The 10km turn point is it the Clandon A25 junction near Merrow. The 5km race goes along the same route but turns back towards Guildford town centre before Horseshoe Lane East.

First Aid

Provided by Team Medic. They will be located at various points throughout the course as well as the start/finish line.

Timing

Chip in bib timing with results by text message service.

Toilets

Public and temporary toilets will be available.

Water

There will be a water station on route at the half way turn and at the finish line. Please note for 5km water will only be available at the finish.

Refreshment

Complimentary refreshments will be provided for all participants at the finish line.
