It would have to be the Mercer Surrey Half! I had been waiting ages to be old enough to do it and was so excited to be able to run it in 2017. The support from the crowd was absolutely amazing and kept me motivated the whole way around, I cannot wait until the next Mercer Surrey Half!
I am looking to start getting into marathon running, with Edinburgh 2018 being my first. I”m also keen to get involved in triathlons in the next few years. I completed the Woking Aquathlon in September 2018 where I was cheered on by the aat team.
Favourite Training Session:
I enjoy most sessions! My normal week would consist of Monday – fast grass session at club; Tuesday – spinning; Wednesday – a club hill session; Thursday – a steady run; Friday – Rest day; Saturday – Race; Sunday – a long distance run. I particularly enjoy the club sessions as I enjoy training with my friends.
Essential Race Kit:
I think the most essential things for a race are warm clothes for afterwards and a watch to help you pace yourself during the race, and help you aim for personal bests. I also always have some safety pins just in case – don’t get caught out without them!
