Favourite Event of 2017:
It would have to be the Mercer Surrey Half! I had been waiting ages to be old enough to do it and was so excited to be able to run it this year. The support from the crowd was absolutely amazing and kept me motivated the whole way around, I cannot wait until next year’s Mercer Surrey Half!
I am looking to start getting into triathlons in the next few years. I have signed up for the Edinburgh Marathon 2018 which is currently my goal and I’m training hard to get a good time!
Favourite Training Session:
I enjoy most sessions! My normal week would consist of Monday – fast grass session at club; Tuesday – spinning; Wednesday – a club hill session; Thursday – a steady run; Friday – Rest day; Saturday – Race; Sunday – a long distance run. I particularly enjoy the club sessions as I enjoy training with my friends.
Essential Race Kit:
I think the most essential things for a race are warm clothes for afterwards and a watch to help you pace yourself during the race, and help you aim for personal bests. I also always have some safety pins just in case – don’t get caught out without them!
