Jane Woolley, 80, was the eldest competitor taking part in the Surrey Hills Challenge on Sunday 25th September 2016 – Surrey’s largest challenge. The Challenge consists of 4 events; participants can chose to walk or run 5km, 10km, half marathon or ultra marathon distances. The event raised money for two charities: Surrey Hills Trust fund and Community Foundation for Surrey.

Jane took part in the off-road half marathon; making her way from from the Duke of Kent school near Ewhurst to Dorking – over 13 miles away. Jane took on the challenge to raise money for the Hambledon Village Trust to build a new customer toilet for the Village Shop (which is likely to fall foul of health and safety if it doesn’t install one soon).
